A Church is Reborn
The Story of St Stephen’s Church Norwich

Anne’s little book tells the wonderful story of St Stephen’s church from its foundation to the rebuilding work church from its foundation to the rebuilding work when the foundations were undermined 9 centuries later.
I was intrigued to read this book as my interest in St Stephens goes back over half a century, – I was not disappointed.
We have witnessed the exciting development around the church and the way in which the church became a focal witness to God amid the commercial buildings. Then its closure when the foundations were undermined by water leakage.
Anne has carried out research and tells a story of the highs and lows which church members have faced over the centuries to both keep building, and active ministry and mission alive. The book has some excellent photographs by David White of the restoration work on the church and its people as they celebrated being able to continue to worship God in this lovely church building.
