parish weekend

FathersHeartLetton Hall Logo

In June from Friday 24 – Sunday 26 we have booked Dolphin Court at Letton Hall for a Parish weekend away together. This booking coincides with the Father’s Heart weekend at Ashill.

Dolphin Court, Letton Hall
Dolphin Court was once the 18th century stabling for Letton Hall which is an impressive mansion around 20 miles west of Norwich in the heart of rural Norfolk. Accommodation is set around a cobbled courtyard, surrounded by Letton’s grounds. We will have exclusive use of the facility with its 12 bedrooms and sitting and dining rooms – but it has all been converted from stable buildings so please do not expect en-suite facilities etc.!
We will be able to enjoy walks around the grounds, just relaxing away from the city – or even sample Letton’s well-known go-karts – guaranteed to provide some memorable moments (for those aged from 10 to 80 plus!)
There will be a chance to see around the whole of Letton on Sunday afternoon, guided by Peter Carroll who established it as a Christian centre 35 years ago.

Fountain of Life Church, Ashill
As several people at St Stephen’s know, the Fountain of Life is a network church and is a missionary congregation in the Church of England. Its home is just outside the village of Ashill, where apart from its Sunday worship it regularly hosts speakers from around the world and organises many Christian events. The Father’s Heart weekend will be led by Stuart and Chloe Glassborow (of ‘Catch the Fire’ UK) and John McGinley (of New Wine.)

You can participate in a variety of ways:

1. Come to Letton Hall for a meal at 5.30 pm on Friday 24 June and go to the
first talk at Ashill from 7.00 – 9.00 pm. Guide price £5.

2. Stay the weekend at Letton Hall Dolphin Court and
EITHER visit the Father’s Heart event at Ashill: on Friday 7.00 – 9.00 pm,
Saturday 10.30 – 11.30 am, 2.30 – 4.30 pm and 6.30 – 8.30 pm
and Sunday 10.30 – 12.30.
OR stay at Letton Hall all day, enjoy the peace and relaxation of being
away from the city. There will be the option of Go karting on Saturday
morning 9.00 – 11.00 – this is the only time available so will mean missing
one Ashill session. Price £6.

Guide prices:
Dolphin Court, Adult £50, Child £25
Father’s Heart an additional £22/adult and £11/ child for all 3 days (Family ticket £50)

3. Come to lunch at Letton Hall for a barbecue (coach from St Stephen’s at
11.30 pm
returning around tea-time.) In the afternoon take a tour of Letton Hall
with Peter Carroll. Guide price £10.

Book online http://www.ststephensnorwich.org/fathers-heart-booking or via the office 01603 617697 or sign up at back of church.
