At St Stephen’s Church we know how rewarding and challenging the role of bring up children can be. We offer our community two different ways in which we can stand with parents and support them in this amazing journey:
Little Fellowes (Parent & Toddler Group) and Kids Matter (Parenting Course).
Little Fellowes – Wednesday 10 – 12pm
Little Fellowes is a parent, baby and toddler group that meets to play, have fun and to support each other. We join together twice weekly, once in the meeting room at St Stephen’s Church and also via Zoom. It gives parents the opportunity to meet new friends, with children of a similar age.
Wednesday – 10.00-12.00 – in St Stephen’s Church – Booking is essential
Kids Matter is an accessible and effective parenting programme; giving mums, dads and caregivers the tools to build strong families.
The programme is for parents and carers of children aged 0-10 and lasts for six weeks. It is done with small groups of four to eight parents which means it is friendly and close-knit. It lasts for 6 weeks and is led by Lisa Fifield (the St Stephen’s Children’s Worker). The sessions are relaxed and informal and all the teaching is group-led. You will be working together with user-friendly and evidence-informed booklets and there are always hot drinks and cake or pastries.

We run two or three programmes per year, if you are interested please contact Lisa by emailing email@example.com
Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding the truth from those who think themselves so wise, and for revealing it to little children”
Matthew 11 v 25
Our Children and Families co-ordinator is Lisa Fifield, who organises the children’s activities and is also available to support individual parents and children when needed. We also have a team of enthusiastic volunteers who help with the activities.
Lisa can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01603 617697.
