Starting on Wednesday 17 th February, 10am and 8pm
– Come and try a taster session before you commit!
As people made in the image of God, we are entrusted to look after what he has created: to share in God’s joy and ingenuity in making a difference for good. With this course we want to investigate Genesis 1 together and how a contemporary application could look like. It won’t be a creation verse evolutionary study – it will be an ‘awe and wonder’ look at how we can partner with God to make a difference.
In her book ‘Saying Yes to Life’ – which this course is realted to – Ruth Valerio imaginatively draws on the Days of Creation (Genesis 1), as she relates themes of light, water, land, the seasons, other creatures, humankind, Sabbath rest and resurrection hope to matters of environmental, ethical and social concern. Foundational to Saying Yes to Life is what it means to be human and, in particular, to be a follower of Jesus. Let’s engage with the wonder of God with some amazing stories from around the world about what can be achieved today!
Come and try a taster session on Wednesday 17th February, 10am or 8pm before you commit. No booking required. We would love to see you there!
