At the heart of our church life together lies relationship, first with Jesus and then between one another. Recognising that we cannot enjoy relationship of any depth with more than a relatively few people (call it “intimacy”), we encourage all St Stephen’s folk to belong to one or more smaller units.
The closest relationships develop between people with similar interests in a prayer “Triplet”. It may embrace from 2 to 5 members. Each Prayer Triplet decides how it wants to function. As a guide, it might aim to meet once a month for an hour or so (whether in a home or at Church or in the Chapel), to listen to one another, to share joys and concerns and to pray for each other.
St Stephen’s places a high value on thriving Small Groups (of between 8 and 12 members), meeting weekly or fortnightly for fellowship, worship, Bible study and prayer. New Small Groups are formed out of groups doing either Alpha or Freedom in Christ (FiC), within which relationships have already been formed. Or you can join an existing group.
If you would like to join a Prayer Triplet or a Small Group – or to explore what it might mean – do get in touch with Madeline (madelinelight@gmail.com), Tim Coe (tim.coe1944@gmail.com), Ian Fifield (fifieldian@gmail.com) or Adam Jackson (youth@ststephensnorwich.org).
